Cascade Reactions Based on Carbophilic Activation:
Gold complexes have emerged as excellent carbophilic activators in numerous organic transformations involving the activation of carbon–carbon multiple bonds towards the attack of a large variety of nucleophiles (Our reviews: Current Science, 2013, 104, 1671; Tetrahedron, 2012, 68, 8079; Chem. Asian J., 2012, 7, 2186; ChemCatChem, 2011, 3, 1121). Banking on the intrinsic π-activation property of gold complexes, our group has reported a broad array of novel reactivities. The following schematic presentation would provide a brief overview of our work.
